Home at last!

Hard to believe that it's been a month since I posted something on here!

Successfully completed week 2 of a 7 week intensive Biblical Greek course at Regent College. The first week didn't go so well, but I seemed to be on track for Exam #2 which I wrote yesterday.

Not sure how many of my friends/family know, but the day before Sean and I arrived in Vancouver, there was an accidental fire on my parent's commercial seine boat. The galley and a lot of the cabin were burned very badly, and the boat has been written off - the hull goes up for salvage bids next week. It's been a stressful time for my family, but hopefully dad will get out fishing on a different boat later tonight.

Our apartment is great, and we're just 8 units or so away from my brother, sister-in-law and nephew, so we've got to see them quite a bit. My brother is doing well in school - MA in counselling - and Blake will be 8 months old next week. He's started swimming and music lessons already! Robb takes him swimming with a friend who had a baby the same day as Blake. Susan takes him to music lessons where he gets to play with shakers and blocks and do percussion. What a talented little guy! He's so happy and well loved - a real people person!

I'm happy to be back on campus, and looking forward to a great year at school. I have to complete the following classes to graduate next year: Greek (in progress), Mission Church & Ministry, the Book of Revelation, United Church Studies 300, Educational Ministry, Religious Pluralism, Ministry Reclaiming Youth at Risk, Ambivalence & the Cross, North American Church History, as well as Music and Worship.

New phone number that some people have is incorrect, since Telus made a mistake when they gave it to me before we left SK, so if you need it, don't hesitate to email!

Blessings all!

C.
